Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with deep expertise in Laravel (PHP) and MySQL. The ideal candidate will design and develop secure, scalable backend services and APIs, support frontend integration, and take ownership of backend modules across the full development lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Laravel (v9+).
- Build and maintain secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
- Design and manage MySQL databases, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
- Implement business logic using Laravel features such as Eloquent ORM, queues, jobs, and middleware.
- Handle authentication and authorization (e.g., JWT, OAuth2).
- Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Perform debugging, performance tuning, and backend optimization.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce backend best practices.
- Take ownership of backend features from conception through deployment and support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong expertise in Laravel (v9 or higher) and PHP.
- In-depth experience with MySQL, including:
- Schema design
- Complex queries
- Indexing and performance tuning
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and application security.
- Experience with background jobs, queues, and async processing.
- Proficient with Git and version control systems.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into backend solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or DigitalOcean.
Hours & Location:
- Remote role (work from home)
- Working hours: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm IST
