PRIME BPM successfully hosted the May edition of the Council & Municipality Transformation Reference Group (APAC Chapter) with a powerful session titled: “Building Better Processes: How BPM Helps Blue Mountains City Council Turn Vision into Reality.”
Led by Billy Hutton, Business Transformation Program Leader, and Kathy Dicker, Business Process Analyst at Blue Mountains City Council, the session highlighted how the council is embedding Business Process Management (BPM) to drive measurable outcomes across local government operations.
The session saw 25 professionals from various councils across the APAC region, underlining the growing momentum among local governments to modernise service delivery, improve operations, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
Kathy Dicker presented a real-world case study on streamlining a high-volume HR process—demonstrating how the council reduced manual steps, eliminated paper forms, and strengthened governance using the PRIME BPM platform to visualise, refine, and execute improvements.
Billy Hutton shared that the council is using PRIME BPM not only for process mapping, but also for its advanced analytics capabilities—to simulate improvements, evaluate the value of changes such as step reduction, and quantify benefits for effective communication to leadership
