The Council & Municipality Transformation Reference Group – North America Chapter, powered by PRIME BPM, hosted its September 2025 Live Meetup, exploring how municipalities can maximize the impact of their improvement initiatives through a session titled: “Process Improvement with Purpose: Making Every Initiative Count in Public Service.”
The virtual meetup featured Marcy Pederson, United States Air Force Continuous Process Improvement Program Manager, who shared practical insights from her extensive experience implementing process improvement methodologies in government settings. Drawing on her work with the Air Force’s Continuous Improvement and Innovation program, Pederson provided municipal leaders with actionable strategies for creating meaningful, sustainable improvements in public service delivery.
“In public service, we don’t have the luxury of wasting resources on improvement initiatives that don’t deliver real value to citizens,” said Pederson during the session. “Every project must be purposeful, aligned with your mission, and designed to make a tangible difference in your community.”
